October 27th-28th, 2023
The stories we tell are the stories we live. What story do you want to live?
Right now, in this moment, we’re cultivating storytellers to lead the way towards connection, reconciliation and wholeness. Let’s stimulate our imaginations, curate a life worth living and imagine alternative possible futures.
To shift the cultural narrative to reflect the hopeful, restorative, love filled story of God, we have to start cultivating storytellers. What’s your story?
Join us October 27-28th in Solomons, Maryland as we explore this year’s theme: “The Stories We Tell.” Together, we’ll venture to explore our personal stories within the larger context of God’s story.
Join us for our annual retreat amidst nature and incredible sculpture at the Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons, MD. This year, we’ve arranged for two options. Our main retreat will take place on Saturday, October 28th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We’ll have exclusive use of the Studio School for our retreat as well as access to the sculpture garden and gallery. We’ll close our time together with contemplative worship at the Council Ring.
You are also welcome to come early and join us on Friday, October 27th from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the sculpture garden for “Bad Art Night” featuring a pumpkin inspired craft, food truck (Calvert Crabs), lively music and cash bar. This event is hosted by the Annmarie Sculpture Garden and will be a fun, hang out time to enjoy getting to know each other. (There is an additional cost of $7 plus your food and drink if you wish to attend). If you choose to come on Friday night, please see below for lodging options.
The Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center is located in scenic Solomons, Maryland, where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay. The sculpture garden features a shady walking path that meanders through the woods past permanent and loaned sculpture, including over thirty works on loan from the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art.
